ALINE SALLOUM
BIO
Aline Salloum is an NYC-based actress and multilingual creative from Beirut, Lebanon, whose performance credits span a range of countries.
Born and raised in Beirut, she moved to Geneva, Switzerland for high school, where she toured with a theater troupe, sparking her passion for performance. Returning to Lebanon to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Film, she immersed herself in the country’s arts scene, acting in numerous projects and engaging deeply with the region’s sociopolitical landscape.
With a desire to expand her practice, Aline relocated to New York City to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Upon graduation, she was invited to join the prestigious Academy Company, playing resonant and compelling roles such as Jennah in A People’s Guide to History in the Time of Here and Now by Rehana Lew Mirza, among others.
Her subsequent stage credits include The Meltdown, which she co-created and performed at Rattlestick Theater’s Global Forms Festival, Only Remains Remain by Freya Powell at MoMA PS1, The Misanthrope with Molière in the Park, Gratitude by Oren Safdie at Urban Stages, and Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World by Yussef El Guindi at the Public Theatre.
Alongside her stage career, Aline continues her on-screen work, most recently starring in Synthetic, directed by Ismail Albukhari.
She is thrilled to be playing Mrs. Peachum in the upcoming adaptation of The Threepenny Opera, produced by Off Brand Opera and directed by George Abud.
Aline remains inspired by the vibrancy and diversity of New York’s creative community and the powers of storytelling. She is grateful, always, to her parents for their continuous love and support.
